Another twentysomething Estonian living permanently in Pacific Northwest. One dog. One (step)kid. Chocolate/candy freak. Thinks far with vision.Having lots of ideas. Choosy and always wants the best. Temperamental. Funny and humorous. Daydreamer.Able to show character. Easily bored. Stubborn. You may know me as either knitter, dog owner, open source web developer or the person who tends to tell you exactly what she thinks.
Things you probably didn't know about me
Things I love:
1. shoes - mainly Ecco, Audley or Doc Martins. My first requirement for shoes is the looks, then the fit and then the price. I do not like wearing sneakers nor combat boots and I am very picky about heel types and heights.
2. books - fantasy, classics, fairy tales. I love magical creatures and therefore Harry Potter as well. I'm just a little girl refusing to grow up. At the same time I love everything by Kafka, Sartre, Camus, Tode, Kross, Hemingway, Remarque.
3. dogs - my first dog was a wirehaired dachshund. I got him when I was six and for the next 8 years he was my best friend (I was very shy and somewhat overweight kid). I've had my fair share of other dogs in the household, but my dachshund was the first and the most important dog in my life until we got Geek in 2002. I would love to get another dog one day - either a basset, dachshund, beagle, Estonian hound, bulldog or boxer. I'd love the challenge of a Dogo Argentino but life in the states would probably make having one very difficult.
4. knitting - I learned to knit before learning to read at the age of 4. Since then it has all been about yarn and patterns - I'm currently working on getting Master Knitter's certificate from TKGA.
5.code - I wasn't a nerd in high school, I was more into literature, music and performances including a mixture of those two. The last year of high school I got hooked on telnet based chat rooms, fell in love with a geek and well, here I am today..... I love code because it enables me to get lost in whatever I am currently working on. Hours can go by without noticing anything around me. It is a lot like knitting but more challenging. And besides it pays better than knitting!
We have four out of five things in common. :)
