One of the things I appreciate about my team and my manager is providing candid feedback and asking pointed questions when I make a statement that could be understood differently from another point of view. One can never be succinct enough for everyone no matter how hard we try. Lara Hogan has a blog post about communicating big news to the team but in remote world anything could possibly be big news depending where they stand. Empathy, feedback and clear communication is what eventually gets it done. As human beings we all strive for belonging, progress, autonomy, fairness and predictability.
