Week Notes Vol 195
January 29, 2023
One of my aspirations for this year was to get out of the house and go somewhere new each month. It doesn’t have to be long nor does it have to be far but something different enough to get out of the day after day in the same house routine.
I had booked a rustic tiny house on a farm, a farm animal sanctuary to be exact, near Sisters, OR. Robine was a wonderful host and the animals adorable. Unfortunately the trip was only half of the original length because it got too cold for the pup to stay another night (8F overnight in a tiny house can get quite cold.
The location is only 15 minutes from Sisters and 35 minutes from Smith Rock. We missed out on a tour of the farm this time but will definitely be back when it’s warmer.
The icing on the cake? I won a Hipcamp raffle at work so this trip cost only a little out of pocket + gas money but was well worth it.
