Week Notes Vol 32

December 15, 2019

When I was in Estonia this summer for song and dance festival I made a plan to spend December here as well but instead of taking time off I’d work the entire time. It’s a week in after a short trip to Austria and I have to admit, working west coast hours here is both success and fail. On one hand, working from 4pm to 1am is not that difficult since it gets dark by 4pm anyway. It allows me to do things outside earlier in the day when there’s daylight. On the other hand my typical “morning” standup is right smack in the middle of my dinner time. I have non-stop meetings usually from 7pm to 10pm.

However having my daytime free has allowed me to discover new things in Tallinn such as:

  1. Ice scating rink in the middle of old town Ice rink

  2. Christmas market with minimal crowds Christmas market

  3. Empty streets of old town No tourists here

  4. Põhjala tehas New spots around town
