Week Notes Vol 37
January 18, 2020
The word inequity has been on my mind a lot this week. I went to see Hank Willis Thomas exhibit at the Portland Art Museum last week, been reviewing my own performance for 2019, setting goals for 2020 and catcing up on my reading list.
I found a link to Project Include, a nonprofit that uses data and research to advocate for diversity and inclusion in tech, last year but did not have time to sink my teeth into their recommendations. I highly recommend reading through their 14 recommendations in order to accelerate diversity and inclusion in tech industry.
Transparency brings accountability. In addition, internal transparency builds trust and confidence, while external transparency allows a company to lead by example.
