Week Notes Vol 94
February 21, 2021
Moving during COVID is an ordeal. Moving in a high rise in Portland is a hassle to begin with but doing it in 2021 is a royal pain. Unlike regular neighbourhoods you have to reserve street parking for your truck. Then you need to reserve an elevator. Pick a day that is not a weekend day so that you don’t run into all the people all the time. Pray that it doesn’t rain. Seriously consider how much stuff you can move by yourself and how much you need help with to reduce the number of people involved. And don’t forget to breathe.
Come out on the other side with most of your belongings intact and with a few bruises. Pour yourself a glass of something and congratulate yourself on making it. The boxes? These might take a few weeks or months to unpack.
